Our ECMO program provides comprehensive support for patients with cardiogenic shock, severe respiratory failure, fulminant myocarditis, massive pulmonary embolism, post-cardiotomy cardiac failure, complex trauma, and other life-threatening conditions. We offer both veno-arterial (VA) ECMO for cardiac support and veno-venous (VV) ECMO for respiratory support, tailored to the individual patient's needs.
Successful ECMO therapy requires a highly coordinated multidisciplinary team. Our program combines expertise in cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, perfusion, cardiology, anesthesia, and respiratory care to deliver round-the-clock management for critically ill patients.

Cardiac Trauma
Our team is experienced in the management of complex cardiac and thoracic injuries, including cardiac lacerations, chamber ruptures, pericardial tamponade, great vessel injuries, and associated chest trauma. Working closely with emergency medicine, trauma surgery, anesthesia, critical care, and transfusion services, we provide coordinated, round-the-clock care for critically injured patients.
From emergency resuscitation and damage-control surgery to definitive cardiac repair and advanced life support, including ECMO when indicated, we are equipped to manage the most demanding trauma scenarios. Our goal is to deliver timely intervention, restore cardiovascular stability, and achieve the best possible outcomes in these high-acuity situations.
Specialized Cardiac Surgery
Our expertise includes surgical treatment of rhythm disorders through procedures such as surgical ablation and Maze procedures, often performed in conjunction with other cardiac operations. For patients with advanced heart failure, we offer surgical strategies aimed at improving cardiac function and supporting recovery, including mechanical circulatory support when required. We also specialize in the excision of intracardiac masses and tumors, including atrial myxomas and other rare cardiac lesions, utilizing meticulous surgical techniques to ensure complete removal while preserving normal heart function. In addition, we provide surgical management of congenital heart defects diagnosed in adulthood, including atrial septal defects, ventricular septal defects, partial anomalous pulmonary venous connections.
